It's official. Apple's iOS 7 is now available for download worldwide. It is available over the air (OTA) and through iTunes via a Mac or PC. First demoed by Apple at WWDC in June, the new version is perhaps the biggest software update in the history of iOS. It includes a completely new design, plus new features like Control Center, AirDrop, iTunes Radio, and much more. To download iOS 7 on your compatible iOS device, go into the Settings app under General > Software Update, and then follow the directions. To upgrade using a computer, be sure that your iOS device is connected. From there, go into the iTunes application, and select iTunes > Check for Updates. To upgrade OTA, you must be connected to a Wi-Fi network. If the update isn't showing up for you just yet, try a little bit later. We plan on publishing a number of how-to videos and stories in the coming days about iOS 7. In addition, be sure to take a look at our previous iOS 7 coverage right here. In the meantime, here is an introductory look at iOS 7:
One final note: Today will be a busy day. As such, don't be surprised if downloads from Apple run very, very slow.
