Logitech Announces Four New Accessories For Apple's iPad Air

Logitech is gearing up for this week’s arrival of the iPad Air. The company has introduced four new accessories for the 9.7-inch tablet, which arrives in stores on Friday, Nov. 1. The Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard Folio, Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover, Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio and Logitech Folio Protective Case for the new iPad launch in November in the United States, Europe, and select countries in Asia. The Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard Folio comes in a variety of colors and fabrics, including carbon black, mars red orange, and urban grey. The $149 cover includes a built-in Bluetooth keyboard with full-size keys. The keyboard is chargeable through micro-USB. Features include:

• Weighs only 425g (0.9 lbs) and measures just 18.5mm (0.7 in) thick
• The keyboard is comfortable for typing when you need it and almost invisible when you don’t
• Full-size keys help you type as fast as on a standard keyboard

The new Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover provides an aluminum screen cover for added protection on the go, and doubles as a wireless keyboard. The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover is expected to be available for a suggested retail price of $99.99. It will be available in black, white, silver, and purple. Main features include:

• Includes time-saving iOS shortcut keys for copy, paste, undo and more
• Helps you type as quickly as on a standard keyboard

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for iPad Air provides front and back protection for your tablet. It includes an integrated Bluetooth keyboard, which is chargeable through micro-USB. The $99 accessory will be available in carbon black, midnight navy, mars red orange, and gloss veil. The last of these is best described as a cross between gray and black. Features include:

• Weighs only 425g (0.9lbs) and measures just 20.1mm (0.79in) thick
• Includes time-saving iOS shortcut keys for copy, paste, undo and more
• Frees up screen space on iPad

Finally, the Logitech Folio Protective Case is the company's thinnest and lightest folio for the new iPad Air. It has a water-repellent skin for two-sided protection, and will be available for $49.99. This case will launch in Carbon black, vapor grey, mars red orange, and sunflower yellow. Features include:

• Covers both the front and back of iPad
• Made from durable, water-repellant materials
• So thin and light, you’ll hardly notice it’s there
• Weighs only 261g (0.58 pounds) and measures just 14 mm (0.546 inches) thick
• Precision engineered with state-of-the-art materials and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques

The 9.7-inch iPad Air, Apple’s fifth-generation tablet, includes an A7 processor and M7 coprocessor, and is much thinner than the previous model. It is also lighter, weighing just 1 pound. The iPad Air with Wi-Fi models will be available in silver or space gray. It is priced exactly the same as previous models: $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for the 32GB model, $699 for the 64GB model, and $799 for the 128GB model. The iPad Air with Wi-Fi + Cellular is priced at $629 for the 16GB model, $729 for the 32GB model, $829 for the 64GB model, and $929 for the 128GB model. Beginning Friday, the iPad Air will be available in the United States, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China (Wi-Fi models only), Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macao (Wi-Fi models only), Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. At Apple retail stores in these countries, the iPad Air will be available beginning at 8 a.m. local time.
