Sharp Announces OS X Support For Its New 4K Touchscreen Monitor
October 8, 2013
Apple has never released a Retina display iMac. However, there is now an alternative of sorts, courtesy of Sharp. The company’s innovative 32-inch 4K touchscreen monitor will soon be compatible with OS X, according to Macotakara.
Announced earlier this year, the PN-K322B display uses an IGZO LCD panel and offers a resolution of 3840 x 2160. This contains enough pixels to give a 1920 x 1080 Mac Retina quality resolution.

Sharp has yet to announce when OS X support will arrive for the monitor, which is priced at around $4,000.
Last month, Apple refreshed its lineup of all-in-one desktop products. The new iMacs include Intel Haswell processors, support for 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and more.
