Slam your way to the top of the leaderboards in Retro Dreamer's frantic arena battle game, SlamBots. We also have an effects app that can transform your photos into trippy works of art, and an easy to use task manager.

Simply HDR ($0.99 → Free, 34.3 MB): Make your photos pop with this HDR effects app.

You're able to snap a new photo in-app or import one from your library. You can then choose from six different HDR style categories and loads of effects and filters. Each one can be customized with different levels of saturation, grain, tint, and vignette. Your final creations can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or Instagram. The app also includes undo and redo, a randomizer, and the ability to crop photos and specify aspect ratio. Simply HDR is available for free today only (10/04). DOOO To-do & Idea Note ($0.99 → Free, 15.1 MB): A super simple to-do app all prettied up for iOS 7.

It allows you to create text and voice tasks in a snap. You can set due dates, add reminders, and even add photos and drawings to tasks. You can also highlight tasks with one of two colors, and view task history. DOOO To-do & Idea Note is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 425 ratings.

Universal:

SlamBots ($1.99 → Free, 5.3 MB): Slam your way through wave after wave of evil robots in this arena battle game.

Hop into your spiky slamming machine and crush every enemy in sight. You're able to control the direction of your SlamBot via tilt, and slam into the ground by tapping and holding your finger on the screen. Just don't let those evil robots smack you on the head. You're able to gain more points by stringing together big combos. The game includes three environments, loads of unlockable content, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center. SlamBots is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 32 ratings.

AirFoto ($1.99 → Free, 32.9 MB): Wirelessly stream the photos from your computer to your iDevice with this utility app.

You must first install the free companion software on your home PC or Mac. Then launch AirFoto on your iDevice and it will automatically discover your computer. Once a connection is established, you'll be able to view, save, and share any of the photos on your PC or Mac. AirFoto is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 43 ratings.

Kid Tripp ($0.99 → Free, 6.4 MB): A brutally difficult yet wholly rewarding retro-inspired platformer.

Run and jump your way through 8-bit-style environments as quickly and efficiently as possible. Kid Tripp will run on his own, so it's up to you to time his jumps and sprints to avoid the many obstacles. Kid Tripp is also armed with stones, which can be chucked at his enemies with a tap. The game includes four beautifully crafted worlds, 20 levels, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center. Kid Tripp is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 117 ratings.

Memory Game Spelling Words ($1.99 → Free, 19.2 MB): A memory game that will help your child learn sight words.

It works just like every other memory game, except on the flip side of each card is a sight word. Your child must match each word in as few moves as possible. They can also compete against another player on the same device or they can go up against an AI opponent. The game includes three difficulty levels, more than 700 sight words, stat tracking, and a mini-game that can be played between rounds. Memory Game Spelling Words is available for free today only (10/04). It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 18 ratings.

Tangent ($1.99 → Free, 46.3 MB): Transform your photos into trippy works of art with this effects app.

You're able to import any photo from your library or take a new one in-app. You can then choose from one of the 35 included and fully customizable styles or start fresh. All of the shapes and background patterns can be manipulated with common gestures, and you can adjust their colors and opacity levels via sliders. When you're finished messing around, share your creation via Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook. The app includes 26 shapes, 22 backgrounds, and the ability to come back and add even more layers of awesome. Additional shapes and patterns are available via in-app purchase. Tangent is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 75 ratings.
