The top portion of the screen displays today's date, the week of the year, sunrise and sunset times, and the numbers of days passed and left in the year. The lower portion includes all of the historical events and major holidays that occurred on this day. If you tap and hold on an event or holiday, you can share it via Twitter, Facebook, SMS, or email. Calendarium is available for free today only (10/09). Rhythm Repeat ($1.99 → Free, 15.3 MB): A colorful rhythm game that requires you to repeat sequences in the correct order.

As the beat is played, colored buttons will pulse and be added to the bottom of the screen. It's then your turn to repeat the sequence in the proper order before time expires. Miss a note or run out of time and you'll lose a life. Lose all three and it's game over. The game includes more than 300 melodies and beats to play, three instruments to choose from, and leaderboards via Game Center. Rhythm Repeat is available for free for a limited time. It's large, easy to read buttons allow you to play, skip, pause, and crank up your music with little effort. LensLight ($1.99 → Free, 64.8 MB): Accentuate your photos with various lighting effects with this photography app.

It includes more than 80 stunning lighting effects, which can be repositioned and resized using common multitouch gestures. You're also able to layer and adjust the intensity of your effects. Apply any one of the 15 different filters to complete your work before sharing it via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or email. LensLight is available for free for a limited time. YodelOh Classic ($0.99 → Free, 28.8 MB): Go up against the meanest sheep on the mountain in this wacky arcade game.

Bullseye targets, sheep, balloons, and bonuses will randomly appear at the bottom of the screen. You must quickly and accurately tap on them to keep Hans from walking off of the cliff. All other targets must be avoided. Hans also has to deal with the sheep climbing up the mountain, so be ready to tap on them as well. Get on tapping streaks to earn huge bonus points. Swipe right to left to unfold all of the categories you can choose from. Then just pick the unit you want to convert and add a total. The rest of the units on your list will automatically update with their conversions. Swipe right to left to access the appearance menu where you can enable, disable, and sort units. iPad:

Inkpad ($4.99 → Free, 3.2 MB): A professional quality vector illustration app designed exclusively for iPad.

You're able to draw, select, scale, and rotate hundreds of objects with zero lag to worry about. The app supports paths, compound paths, text, images, groups, masks, gradient fills, and an unlimited number of layers per drawing. It also provides you with a remarkable amount of control over your layers, allowing you to add loads of depth to your creations. Inkpad includes six samples to mess around with, Dropbox support, and the ability to share your creations via email, Facebook, and Twitter. Inkpad is available for free for a limited time.
