Some Apple Stores Will Be Open On Thanksgiving Day
November 14, 2013
U.S. retailers seem to be opening earlier each year to begin the all important Black Friday weekend. One of those is Apple, which plans to open some stores on Thanksgiving Day, according to iDownloadBlog.
According to “insiders,” Cupertino plans to open 10 retail stores on Thanksgiving Day. These include the following locations:
In 2012, only two Apple stores were open for the holiday. The report doesn’t say what time each store will open, although they do note that the Fifth Avenue store is always open. Apple will be posting its holiday shopping hours here. Apple typically offers only modest savings on Black Friday. Last year, for example, it offered the iPad 3 for $41 off, and a 32GB iPod touch for $31 off. Personally, I feel that Thanksgiving Day should be spent visiting with family, not shopping. However, it’s clear that many retailers have found opening on the holiday has added nicely to the bottom line, so the practice will surely continue. Will you be shopping at an Apple retail store on Thanksgiving?
