Apple Is Now Shipping The iPhone 5s Within 24 Hours As Christmas Deadline Nears
December 10, 2013
In what will probably be our final report on the subject, iPhone 5s availability has hit a new milestone. Orders placed for the handset made on Apple’s website are now shipping within 24 hours.
Currently, all three iPhone 5s models are available for shipment within one day. These include the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB contract models from AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon.
Contract-free models through T-Mobile ship within one to three business days, while unlocked models will go out in three to five business days.
Launched Sept. 20, the seventh-generation iPhone had been plagued by supply restraints through at least the beginning of November. Since then, inventory levels have improved significantly.
Earlier this week, Piper Jaffray reported that iPhone 5s availability at U.S. Apple retail stores had finally reached 100 percent. Just 24 percent of Apple’s retail stores had stock of all iPhone 5s models at the end of November. At the start of October, that number stood at just 8 percent.
Customers who wish to order an iPhone 5s and have it delivered by Dec. 24 must do so by Wednesday, Dec. 18. For a complete list of holiday deadlines for the Apple online store, click here.
