Apple rarely offers product discounts. The company's new Valentine’s Day promotion is a perfect example of this.
Under the heading “Love is in the Air,” Apple highlights “Gifts they’ll love at first sight.” Here you will see the top gifts for Valentine’s Day, including Product RED cases, Nike+ FuelBands, and many more.
What you don’t see are discounts. Prices for the suggested gifts range from $30 to $400.
For those planning to buy an iOS device through shop.apple.com as a Valentine's Day gift, please be aware of these deadlines:
Free shipping is available for the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 4s through Feb. 5. For guaranteed overnight delivery, the deadline is Feb. 11. These are also the deadlines for non-engraved tablets, including the iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina display, iPad mini, and iPad 2.
An Engraved iPad Air must be ordered by Feb. 5 to qualify for free standard shipping. The "2 to 3 day shipping" deadline is Feb. 6. An engraved iPad mini with Retina display, iPad mini, or iPad 2 must be ordered by Feb. 6 for free shipping. The expedited shipping deadline for these items is Feb 7.
