Cydia Tweak: Ayna Turns Your iOS Device Into A Pocket Mirror

February 8, 2014
Thanks to a new jailbreak tweak, you'll never find yourself without a mirror again. Created by Ravirajm, Ayna will turn any iPhone or iPod touch into a pocket mirror. This idea may sound very simple, but I'm sure many people can benefit from something like this. Once installed, Ayna is completely hidden, but it can be quickly accessed from anywhere in iOS 7. Tap and hold on the camera grabber located on the lock screen, or the Camera shortcut in Control Center, and Ayna will pop up. Go about your business with Ayna, then tap on the small yellow triangle at the bottom of the screen to dismiss it. From Ayna's Cydia description:
We love looking at ourselves. We’re always worried about our looks. This is why some of us carry a pocket mirror around or we simply stop by near a mirror to see our faces. Why should we do all that hassle if we have the most advanced devices with us? This is where ayna comes in handy. “ayna” means mirror in several languages. It’s one of the most simplistic yet practical tweaks you’ll ever use.
I'm sure you're wondering why Ayna is so special. Every iOS device already has the Camera app and a front facing camera. Well, the best part about Ayna is that there are no annoying buttons, overlays, or toggles in the way. You're getting a full screen mirror without any distractions. As simple as it may be, Ayna is a very practical jailbreak tweak. There are no options to configure for Ayna. If you'd like to check it out for yourself, Ayna is available in the BigBoss repository for free and compatible with iOS 7 or higher.
