Fall Out Boy May Have A Cure For The Flappy Bird Blues

At this point, I'm sure most of us are aware that Flappy Bird is no longer available on the App Store. The developer removed it on Feb. 9, 2014, and since then, several copycat apps have launched. Unfortunately, one more will arrive on the App Store soon, but it's a little different than you'd expect.
The popular rock/pop band Fall Out Boy, have put together their own spin-off called Fall Out Bird. At the moment, there's not much information on how the game will play, but I think it's safe to assume that it will be similar to the original version.
Judging by the screenshot above, it looks like you may have the ability to play as individual members of Fall Out Boy or maybe even all of them at once. I'm not sure how the last option would work, but I guess we'll have to wait and see if that's available when it's released.
According to MTV News, the game was announced via Twitter a day after Flappy Bird's departure from the App Store:
rome wasn't built in a day, but this game was. in the spirit of Fall Out Boy Trail, we bring you #FallOutBird pic.twitter.com/QBAindPRTM

Flappy Bird isn't the first game that Fall Out Boy has created (via MTV):
Fall Out Boy is not new to riffing off popular games. In 2009, Pete Wentz helped start up Fall Out Boy Trail, their version of Oregon Trail, the nostalgic computer game enjoyed by '90s kids alike. With their newest game, the band is sending fans back into the Flappy frenzy. It ain't over 'til Patrick Stump slams into a pipe!Like it or not, these Flappy Bird copies aren't going anywhere. It's unfortunate that the original is no longer available, but if you still have it on your iOS device, consider yourself lucky. I think Flappy Bird may have peaked in interest and popularity after its removal, but don't worry, Fall Out Bird should be arriving very soon on the App Store and Google Play Store.
