This Jailbreak Tweak Replaces iOS 7's Music Controls With Gestures

February 3, 2014
Gesture Music Controls is a new jailbreak tweak that will alter iOS 7's music controls. By default, all of iOS 7's music controls are on-screen buttons, but one developer wants to change that. Using Gesture Music Controls, all of iOS 7's music control buttons are swapped out with gestures. Along with that, new social sharing options are adding throughout iOS while music is playing. Once installed, this tweak will change the appearance iOS 7's lock screen, Control Center, and Music app. All of the play, pause, and skip buttons have been replaced with taps and swipes. If you'd like to change songs, swipe to the left or right over the track that's currently playing. To play or pause music, tap on the track that's currently playing. It's a very simple tweak, but in my opinion, Gesture Music Controls could be a native feature in iOS. Here's a full list of features included (via Cydia):
  • Swipe left and right to switch songs.
  • Tap to toggle play/pause.
  • Hold for 1s if in Music App will bring up rating control, otherwise will open currently playing app.
  • Swipe up to share to social media.
  • Note: iPad version doesn't change the default Music App.
