iPhone:

Juggle: Pocket Machine ($0.99 → Free, 10.4 MB): This juggling machine fits right into your pocket, allowing you to work on your hand-eye coordination wherever you go.

The game features three modes, all of which require you to keep the colored disks in the air by bouncing them off your laser bumper. Disks are constantly being added to the mix, so try to keep as many on the screen as possible to earn bonus points. The game also includes a fantastic retro-inspired look, and leaderboards via Game Center. Juggle: Pocket Machine is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 84 ratings.

OneStack Calendar ($0.99 → Free, 3.7 MB): Designed for busy professionals, this lean and clean calendar app will ensure you never miss another important event.

It’s able to automatically import all of the events from your built-in Calendar app. You’re able to view your events in hourly, daily, and monthly formats. Tap and hold on an opening to create a new event, which can include a location, category, URL, note, and alert. You’re able to change the duration and time of your event by tapping and dragging its listing. The app also includes search, portrait and landscape orientation support, the ability to share and duplicate events, and all kinds of calendar customization options. Gesture Touchpad for Win8 ($0.99 → Free, 7.8 MB): Turn your iPhone or iPod touch into a wireless touchpad and keyboard for your Windows 8 computer with this utility app.

You must first download the free companion software for your computer from Splashtop's website. Then launch Gesture Touchpad on your iPhone or iPod touch and your computer will be discovered automatically. Once everything is connected, you'll be able to control your computer with multitouch gestures, key combinations, and virtual mouse clicks. Gesture Touchpad for Win8 is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 8 ratings.

Universal:

Redline Rush ($0.99 → Free, 48.3 MB): Jump behind the wheel of a super-powered sports car and race to the top of the leaderboards in this gorgeous distance game.

Weave in and out of traffic to lose the fuzz and build up your score. You'll be rewarded with bonus points for near wrecks. But don't push your luck, because just one slip-up and it's game over! Actually, I take that back. Go ahead and crash your vehicle. The animations are something to behold. The coins collected during each race can be spent on new vehicles, upgrading your vehicles, and unlocking new maps. The game includes 16 vehicles, three maps, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center. Redline Rush is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 1092 ratings.

Skill Game ($2.99 → Free, 33.6 MB): A true game of skill.

Your objective is to connect all of the numbers in ascending order without touching the lines you’ve already created. The process of doing so, however, requires a deft hand and a little strategy. Make sure to utilize the viewfinder in the top left corner of the screen, otherwise you won't stand a chance. The game includes an unlimited number of randomly generated levels, adaptive difficulty levels, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center. Skill Game is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 2067 ratings.

iPad:

Audio Notebook: All-Day Sound Recorder, Widescreen Notepad, and Color Coded Note Organizer ($2.99 → Free, 4.5 MB): If you struggle with taking notes while keeping up with discussions, this is the app for you.

Audio Notebook is able to capture audio while you take thorough notes. When creating a new note, you’re able to title and color code it. Then tap record and start typing. The app features a large, legible font and automatic spellcheck, making it supremely easy to blast out notes. You’re also able to take notes in portrait or landscape orientation. When playing back audio, you’re able to seek and choose various speeds. The app includes unlimited audio recording, customizable categories, the ability to filter notes, and the ability to share notes and recordings via email. Audio Notebook: All-Day Sound Recorder, Widescreen Notepad, and Color Coded Note Organizer is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 5 ratings.

Whiskers ($1.99 → Free, 7.4 MB): Bigger is better in this local multiplayer game.

Grab a friend or three and face off in kitty food collecting battles. Your adorable pixel kittens all glide ahead on their own, but you can tap your side of the screen to cause them to make right turns towards the food and power-ups. Each piece of food you collect will make your kitten a little bigger and harder to push around. Keep fattening up your kitten until it reaches the perfect size to win. The game includes support for up to four total players, four power-ups, and a delightful soundtrack. Whiskers is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 11 ratings.
