iPhone:Tap the big square to go in search of new podcasts to listen to. You’re able to search for podcasts by name, and Network will come up with the closest results. Each podcast includes a cover photo, detailed information for each episode, and the original release date and time. Just tap on an episode to start listening and bring up playback controls. You’re able to swipe right to left across episodes to mark them as played or unplayed. The app also includes automatic downloading of new episodes, variable playback and skip rates, and the ability to import podcasts from OPML files. Network is available for free today only (02/20). iPad:You’re able to choose between small (9x9) and large (18x18) pin boards. Then choose a pattern or image you want to recreate with your child and get to work. A thumbnail of the pattern or image is always readily available on the left side of the screen. Tap a pin on the right side to choose a matching color, and tap on open holes on the board to place the pins. You’re able to get a preview of what the board should look like by tapping on the thumbnail, or you can leave an overlay on the board for even more help. Finished patterns and images can be saved to your iPad’s library. The app includes freehand modes, the ability to upload patterns for others to download, and 38 built-in patterns and images.
