Network ($2.99 → Free, 1.1 MB): The cleanest and most efficient podcast app you’ll ever use.

Tap the big square to go in search of new podcasts to listen to. You’re able to search for podcasts by name, and Network will come up with the closest results. Each podcast includes a cover photo, detailed information for each episode, and the original release date and time. Just tap on an episode to start listening and bring up playback controls. You’re able to swipe right to left across episodes to mark them as played or unplayed. You’ll want to install Tango on all of your available iDevices. That way you can control any and all of them on a whim. Whenever you launch Tango on an iDevice, you’ll be able to determine if you want it to be your media player or your remote control. You’re then able to remotely control the volume and playback of another connected iDevice, and browse through its library, search, and create playlists. The app also includes password protection, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, and audio and video scrubbing. Tango Remote is available for free for a limited time. Video 2 Photo - extract still pictures from movies ($1.99 → Free, 10.0 MB): Extract photos from your videos with this slick photography app.

You're able to import videos from your library or capture new ones in app. Drag the slider at the bottom of the screen to find the exact frame you want, and then tap on it to extract it. You can also slide the video frames up and down to go through them one by one. Extracted photos can be cropped if necessary, and shared via Twitter, Facebook, email, or iTunes File Sharing. City Maps 2Go Pro - Offline Map and Travel Guide ($1.99 → Free, 22.9 MB): Download entire city, county, district, and province maps for offline viewing with this navigation app.

You're able to look through maps by country, or you can search for a specific one by name. Downloaded maps include the ability to search for specific streets, view points of interest, and bookmark your favorite locations. The app includes a total of 6,700 downloadable maps. Doggie Let Me Out ($0.99 → Free, 38.1 MB): Get the little doggie to let you out in this puzzle game.

The little doggie is standing guard by the door. It’s up to you to figure out what it is that will lead him away from it so you can escape. Just tap on objects in the environment to find clues and solve puzzles. The game includes 12 levels, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center. Doggie Let Me Out is available for free today only (02/20). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 75 ratings.

iPad:

MosaicHD ($1.99 → Free, 45.6 MB): An absolutely delightful children’s game that has them reconstructing pin patterns and images.

You’re able to choose between small (9x9) and large (18x18) pin boards. Then choose a pattern or image you want to recreate with your child and get to work. A thumbnail of the pattern or image is always readily available on the left side of the screen. Tap a pin on the right side to choose a matching color, and tap on open holes on the board to place the pins. You’re able to get a preview of what the board should look like by tapping on the thumbnail, or you can leave an overlay on the board for even more help. Finished patterns and images can be saved to your iPad’s library. The app includes freehand modes, the ability to upload patterns for others to download, and 38 built-in patterns and images. MosaicHD is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 69 ratings.
