FineGrain's Coburn Jr. Is A Simple Wood Stand For iPhone
March 10, 2014
FineGrain is out with a new iPhone accessory that should look familiar to AppAdvice readers. The Coburn Jr. is a minimalistic wood stand, and successor to the Coburn, which launched for iPad in November 2013. Creators Eric Rea, Levi Price, and Brian Rea are currently seeking funding via Kickstarter to get the project off the ground.
The Coburn Jr. is a compact, versatile iPhone stand available in two hardwoods. The lighter of the two is made from cherry, while the darker is made of walnut. Both come from a local wood source, and are handcrafted in the United States. Once cut to shape, they are chamfered, branded, and finished by hand. The stand is available in two sizes to fit your iPhone with or without a case.

FineGrain is hoping to raise $2,000 by April 9 to begin manufacturing. For a pledge of $15 or more, you will receive one Coburn Jr. for the iPhone 5/5s, which includes shipping anywhere in the United States. You will choose the size (cased/uncased) and color (cherry/walnut) after the project ends.
I use my Coburn almost every day, and can't wait to get my hands on the Coburn Jr.
