The TravelCard Is A Credit Card Size Battery Pack For iPhone
March 13, 2014
Smartphones are great, until they run out of power. For charging on the road, battery cases are nice, as are external batteries. Unfortunately, many of these tend to be bulky.
Enter the TravelCard, the smartphone charger that fits in your wallet.
Created by Ventura, Calif.-based Go Design, the TravelCard is the exact size of a credit card, measuring just 0.19 inches, with a weight of just 2 oz. It promises five hours of talk time, 4 1/2 hours of Internet usage, and 98 hours of standby time.
The TravelCard is available with either a Lightning or micro USB cable, and comes with a battery capacity of 1,300 mAh.
Take a look:
Go Design originally hoped to raise $10,500 on Kickstarter to get the TravelCard project off the ground. With 18 days to go in the funding period, the project has received pledges of just under $41,000.
A pledge of $40 or more gives the backer one TravelCard in either white, black, silver, or sapphire blue. This includes the choice of cable. Expected delivery is May 2014.
The TravelCard looks like it has a lot of potential and I can't wait to get my hands on one for review purposes. For more information, visit the official TravelCard site by clicking here.
