Apple Launches Updates For All Of The iWork Applications
April 1, 2014
Less than a week after Microsoft Office launched on iPad, Apple is releasing updates to its own productivity suite, iWork. Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are each receiving updates across its three platforms, iCloud, OS X, and iOS.
First to be updated are iCloud versions.
Each application now has an updated design in document editor, and view-only sharing functionality. Previously, anyone could edit documents shared via iCloud. Additionally, documents can now be opened directly from iCloud Mail. All three applications also have improved Retina display support.
Pages also gains improved text wrapping, new templates, and the ability to edit charts from imported documents. Numbers has improved pop-up menu support, while Keynote also gains the ability to edit charts from imported documents.
Apple says these changes are coming to OS X and iOS "later today."
