Sprint Customers Will Receive Up To Six Months Of Spotify Premium For Free
April 29, 2014
Sprint customers have something new to sing about. The No. 3 carrier in the U.S. has announced it will start bundling Spotify Premium with its new Framily plans. It's part of the company’s new Sprint Sound Sessions program, which begins on Friday, May 2.
Under the new program, all new and existing Framily plan members are eligible for a free, six-month trial of Spotify Premium. An 18-month discount on the premium music service will follow once the free trial is over.
Spotify Premium is normally priced at $9.99 per month. For this, users can play and download music for offline use. Framily customers will pay $7.99 per month for the paid service, or $4.99 monthly when there are more than six members in the plan. Normal rates begin after 24 months.
Sprint customers outside the Framily plan will receive a free three-month subscription to Spotify Premium. These subscribers will pay the regular price following the end of the free trial.
Sprint isn’t the first carrier to offer subscribers Spotify Premium for free. A similar deal is available to Vodafone customers throughout Europe.
