The NBC App For iOS Now Offers AirPlay Streaming To Apple TV

The official NBC app for iOS is finally Apple AirPlay compatible. The change comes as part of a new software update on the App Store. The reason this app update is significant is that users can now stream NBC content to an Apple TV without first having some sort of a subscription. Previously, the only ways to watch new episodes of  “About A Boy,” “The Blacklist,” and “The Voice,” for example, on an Apple TV was through a Hulu Plus subscription or iTunes. The update removes this requirement. NBC 2.5.1. includes the following:
