June 2, 2014
Apple has just unveiled HealthKit, which focuses on user's health and fitness by monitoring it with your iOS device. Healthkit brings another app, simply called Health, that will sport an easy-to-read dashboard that shows all of your information at a glance. It will feature various "cards" that will keep tabs on different vitals, such as weight, heart rate, sleep, and nutrition. It may even go beyond the basics, and include stuff like blood work, blood pressure, hydration, blood sugar, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation. This information will all be secure and encrypted. Apple is even working with the Mayo Clinic app, to be at the forefront of innovative health technology. You can even choose which apps to connect to Health, such as Nike and Fitbit.
