June 3, 2014

Work out with a snarky AI with CARROT Fit. We also have an app that allows you to add stylish text to your photos, and a powerful collage creation app.

All app prices are subject to change at any time and without notice regardless of stated free duration. Price changes are solely under the control of the developers.

iPhone:

Fonta - Telling Stories With Photos ($1.99 → Free, 15.2 MB): Add stylish text to your favorite photos with Fonta.

You’re able to import any photo from your library or take a new one within the app. You can then crop, rotate, flip, blur, and add filters to your photo. To add a layer of text, tap the “T” square and double-tap to change it. You’re able to move, rotate, resize, and change the spacing and opacity of the text. You’re also able to choose from hundreds of awesome fonts and a variety of colors. You’re even able to add some custom artwork and a frame before sharing your final creation via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Messages, or email. Fonta - Telling Stories With Photos is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 87 ratings.

ProCollage - Photo Collage Maker & Photo Stitch Creator ($1.99 → Free, 32.1 MB): The swiss army knife of collage apps.

No matter what type of collage you want to create with your photos, ProCollage is up to the task. You’re able to import photos from your library or take new ones from within the app. You’re then able to frame them using templates, freely arrange them over a background, or stitch them together. Custom text can be placed right over the top in any position you like. You can share your final creations via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email. The app includes 15 exclusively-designed themes to choose from, loads of frame color options, five output ratios, 60 text colors and patterns, and 14 text styles. ProCollage - Photo Collage Maker & Photo Stitch Creator is available for free today only (06/03). It has a 5-star rating with a total of 44 ratings.

Context Camera - Stamp & overlay photos with info including GPS location, direction, date, time and comments (formerly Recon Camera) ($3.99 → Free, 7.5 MB): Collect and recall critical information regarding your photos with Context Camera.

The app’s camera feed displays information like location, direction, and the current date and time. What you see on the live feed is what will be captured and overlaid on your photo. You’re also able to attach up to two comments if you like. Then after you have captured your photo, you’re able to annotate it with boxes and lines if necessary. All of the photos are automatically saved to your library. All of the information included in your photo overlay is also written to the image file as metadata. Context Camera - Stamp & overlay photos with info including GPS location, direction, date, time and comments (formerly Recon Camera) is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 19 ratings.

CARROT Fit - 7 Minutes in Hell Workout & Weight Tracker ($2.99 → Free, 15.6 MB): Work out with a snarky AI with this fitness app.

CARROT Fit isn’t your usual fitness app, and you’ll most likely notice this the moment you launch it. CARROT is a sadistic AI that will taunt and punish you from the very beginning, but it’s all for the best. She will guide you through the 12 different exercises over a seven minute period, providing both encouragement and ridicule. You’re able to record your weight once a day to see how effective CARROT’s methods really are. The app includes multiple avatars to choose from, the ability to set a goal weight and reminders, a BMI calculator, and loads of rewards to earn. CARROT Fit - 7 Minutes in Hell Workout & Weight Tracker is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 487 ratings.

Milwaukee Gas Light ($0.99 → Free, 5.9 MB): Get the forecast from a flame with this weather app.

Based on the historic flame light on Wisconsin Avenue, this weather app allows you to see what the weather will be like based on color. If the flame light is blue, there’s no change in view. If the flame is red, there is warm weather ahead. If the flame is gold, you better watch out for cold. And if the flame is flickering, there’s some precipitation in your future. You can also pull down on the screen to see the highs and lows for the next two days. Milwaukee Gas Light is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 72 ratings. iPad:

Budget Notes for Home Budget ($0.99 → Free, 34.4 MB): Stick to your budget with Budget Notes.

You must first consider all of your income and expenses, and then try to split them up into general categories. For example, you’re able to create separate budgets for dining out, vehicle repairs, and household upgrades. You must then determine how much money will be coming in and how much you want to allocate to each category. As the day goes on, simply record where your money is going and Budget Notes will take care of the rest. The app includes loads of customization options, the ability to create recurring transactions, passcode protection, search, and iCloud support. Budget Notes for Home Budget is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 44 ratings.

Carogram - Instagram for the iPad ($1.99 → Free, 15.0 MB): Enjoy Instagram on your iPad with Carogram.

Carogram is able to display photos from your Instagram feed 12 at a time. Want more? Just swipe from right to left and get a new batch of 12. Tap on a photo to get a closer look and view comments and like photos. You’re also able to search for content, view your profile details, and view Instagram’s popular feed. Carogram - Instagram for the iPad is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 12 ratings.
