Frugal helps you quickly and easily find the best price on products you’re shopping for with just a glance through your iDevice’s camera. The top portion of the screen is your camera viewfinder and barcode scanner. Just point it at a product’s barcode and you’ll instantly receive the closest matching results on Amazon at the bottom of the screen. The bottom portion of the screen is actually your browser, so you’re able to buy your product or save it for later in your Reading List. Universal:

Grocery List – HappyList (with barcode scanning and Dropbox sync) ($1.99 → Free, 18.7 MB): A shopping list app that will actually help you save some money.

Like every other shopping list app, you’re able to create separate lists and populate them with items you need. But HappyList is full of additional features that will help you save even more time and money. For example, you’re able to populate your list using more than 3,200 preloaded items. HappyList includes store lists, so you can record prices for each store and find the cheapest place to purchase your items. It also includes the ability to enter different quantities and package sizes to see how much you can save by buying in bulk. All of your list data can be backed up and shared via Dropbox, or you can directly send someone your list via email or Messages. The app also includes 12 color templates to choose from, 10 fonts, a built-in barcode scanner, and list sorting. Synesthetic is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 1169 ratings.

Save The Dino ($0.99 → Free, 88.7 MB): Travel back in time to protect a group of dinos from extinction in this prehistoric puzzle game.

You must protect your dinos from nature’s fury by building a tower of blocks around them. The blocks will drop in Tetris-style, and you’re able to rotate and move them around the screen using on-screen buttons. After a wave is complete, one of the 14 types of disasters will wreak havoc on your structure, causing pieces to crumble away. Then it’s back to work to rebuild your structure and keep your dinos safe for as long as possible. The game includes two modes, more than 50 levels, five dinos, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center. Save The Dino is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 6 ratings.
