GoPro users can now store their large video files on the free Younity service for iOS
July 22, 2014
Younity, the service that gives users access to their files through a personal cloud without syncing, has received a significant update. The service is now integrated with GoPro, allowing users of the popular adventure camera to instantly stream or share content on-demand.
GoPro cameras create rich, high-definition video that results in large files. This makes Younity an ideal platform for GoPro users. According to Erik Caso, CEO and co-founder of Younity:This was a particularly fun release for us. We’re a company of users, so it wasn’t just our users who asked for better categorization of their video – we wanted it too! GoPro is an exciting company that is pioneering user-generated content in whole new ways. The overlap with our users couldn’t have been a better match.Besides GoPro integration, Younity 1.8.3 also includes automatic discovery and cataloging of video content for home videos, movies, and TV shows. Other features include:
First launched in 2012, Younity puts documents, music, photos, and video onto multiple devices, and across multiple platforms, regardless of storage and without syncing. There are no configuration, management, or storage limits. Best of all, it’s absolutely free.
