Party Like It's The 1980s As Trapper Keeper Tablet Cases Set To Launch
July 1, 2014
During the 1980s, the Trapper Keeper was the must-have organizational tool for students. Featuring sliding plastic rings, folders, and pockets, the Trapper Keeper was both functional and a status symbol.
Thanks to a new partnership with Kensington, Mead has announced a new line of Trapper Keepers. The accessory serves as a tablet case.
Launching in 8-inch and 10-inch varieties, the Trapper Keeper & Mead Collection Universal Tablet Cases will be available in September at retailers. Each features a soft microfiber lining that prevents the screen from getting scratched or damaged and a magnetic flap that keeps the folio securely closed.
The cover can be opened or folded into an upright or low-angle triangle stand so you can select the ideal position for watching videos, typing emails, or Web browsing.
The cases are priced at $24.99 for the 8-inch model and $29.99 for the 10-inch variety.
Unfortunately, the cases don’t include extra folders. Plus, because they are universal, the cases aren’t as customizable as one might expect or need.
For those seeking a true Trapper Keeper experience, head to Target. Beginning this month, the retailer is selling Mead’s relaunched line of Trapper Keepers. Fill them up with paper, folders, and whatever else fits.
