'The Simpsons' Marathon has begun on FXX and through the FXNOW app
Get the doughnuts out, “The Simpsons” marathon on FXX has officially begun.
For the next 12 days, the network is running all 522 episodes of “The Simpsons,” plus “The Simpsons Movie,” which was released in theaters in 2007. To enjoy the marathon, you can tune to the channel through your cable or satellite provider, or stream the live content via the FXNOW on-demand video service.
Content from FX, FXX, and FXM can be accessed via the FXNOW app, which can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. The app is universal for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini.
Unfortunately, access hasn’t been granted to everyone.
Like other similar apps, users will need to sign in with TV provider credentials. The app currently supports AT&T U-verse, Comcast XFINITY, Midcontinent Communications, Optimum, among many others.
Simpsons World will officially launch in October as part of the FXNOW app, allowing users to stream any episode at their convenience. FXNOW is expected to arrive on Apple TV and Roku within a year.
“The Simpsons” debuted on Dec. 17, 1989. Its 26th season begins in September.
