Cloudytown is all about enjoying the view. You’re put in control of a single cloud, and you must make it around a little town putting out fires as they pop up. Tap and hold your finger on the top, bottom, left, and right sides of the screen to move the cloud around. The town itself is a colorful work of 3-D art created by Julian Glander.

Cloudytown is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 24 ratings.

Instacast 4 – Podcast Client ($1.99 → Free, 7.4 MB): Instacast 4 is being offered for free today as an experiment in order to perform a stress test on the app’s servers. The developer may return the app back to paid without warning if the servers fail.

One of the most beloved podcast clients in the App Store since 2011, Instacast 4 allows you to manage and customize your subscriptions with ease. You’re able to browse through a list of the most popular audio and video podcasts, or filter content by genre or author. You’re also able to search for something specific with keywords. Podcasts can be subscribed to with just a tap and downloaded for offline playback. They can also be sorted, rearranged, and managed within lists. While listening to a podcast you’re able to read over show notes, add bookmarks, speed up or slow down the stream, and share what you’re listening to or watching via email or Twitter. The app also includes the ability to sync your subscriptions across multiple devices via Instacast Cloud.

Instacast 4 – Podcast Client is available for free today only (08/25). It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 578 ratings.

Time Lapse! ($1.99 → Free, 717.3 KB): Quite possibly the easiest to use time lapse video creator you’ll ever come across in the App Store.

This no-frills photography app allows you to quickly get your time lapse video started. Just point your iDevice’s camera at your subject, slide your finger up or down the side of the screen to select a capture interval, and hit record. A live preview will be available after a limited amount of time during recording, so you can see exactly how your time lapse video is shaping up. When you’re finished recording, your video will instantly be saved to your camera roll for you to share. The app includes an interval range from 0.5 to 60 seconds, pinch to zoom, and tap to set focus and exposure.

Time Lapse! is available for free today only (08/25). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 7 ratings.

My Measures & Dimensions – Best app for DIY & Home improvement ($2.99 → Free, 30.6 MB): Complete your home improvement projects faster and more efficiently with this utility app.

My Measures and Dimensions allows you to store dimensions for objects right on top of photos of them for quick reference. You’re able to snap a new photo from within the app or import one from your library. Place two fingers on the screen to create an arrow or angle between the two. Tap on the empty field between the arrow or angle to add values or text. The app includes a variety of ways to place values and text, and a whole bunch of different units to choose from. You’re able to organize all of your projects within folders and share them via email. The app also includes imperial and metric support, fractions support, and Dropbox integration. Additional professional tools are available via in-app purchase.

Pixel Hell ($1.99 → Free, 11.1 MB): Save pixel people before they reach the fire in this arcade game.

The world has exploded and turned into a fiery inferno, and it’s up to you to save the falling pixel people before they get burned to a crisp by tapping on them. The the longer you wait and the closer the pixel people get to the fire before being saved, the more points you’ll earn. Bonus items will also randomly appear, which can earn you mega points. The only problem is that most of the bonus items are pretty bad, so tapping on them is a huge risk. The game includes 44 pixel characters to unlock, five bosses to battle, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center.

Pixel Hell is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 18 ratings.

Skill Game Arcade ($1.99 → Free, 21.9 MB): A true game of skill that has you endlessly counting up.

Your objective is to connect all of the numbers in ascending order without touching the lines you’ve already created. The process of doing so, however, requires a deft hand and a little strategy. Make sure to utilize the viewfinder in the top left corner of the screen, otherwise you won’t stand a chance. The game includes an unlimited number of randomly generated levels, random gifts to collect, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center.

Skill Game Arcade is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 75 ratings.
