Sunrise Calendar includes new push notifications, search functionality and more

September 3, 2014

Sunrise Calendar has received a significant new app update. Version 2.5 includes three new features that should make keeping track of your day even easier.

The latest update finally brings search functionality to the popular app. You can now search for past or future events by title, location, and attendees.

With the update, Sunrise Calendar becomes the first calendar on iOS to support push for Google Calendar.

As noted on the app’s What’s New page in iTunes:

Any changes to your events will be pushed in real-time to Sunrise. You will need to enable push-notifications for this feature to work (open the app to accept them). Then edit an event on Sunrise Desktop (now available on Mac too!) and see the change sync immediately on your iPhone or iPad.

Finally, the update adds Todoist to its long list of supported third-party app integrations.

Sunrise Calendar is free to download on the App Store. The universal app supports iCloud, Google Calendar, and Exchange.
