Updated: Target to accept iPhone 6 preorders on Sept. 12, offering trade-in deals on older models

Target has announced that it will begin accepting preorders in-store on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, beginning Sept. 12. The retailer also announced trade-in deals for older handsets.
Through Sept. 18, Target customers can lock in iPhone trade-in prices, with values guaranteed until Oct. 18. Guaranteed minimums are as follows::
- $200 for iPhone 5s
- $100 for iPhone 5 or 5c
- $75 for iPhone 4s
- $50 for iPhone 4
Like other iPhone retailers, Target will begin selling new iPhones in-store beginning Sept. 19.
The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be available for $199 (16GB), $299 (64GB), and $399 (128GB). The 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus will be priced at $299 (16GB), $399 (64GB), and $499 (128GB).
