Tim Cook celebrates the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
Apple executives are celebrating the arrival of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus by visiting with customers around the world.
Apple CEO Tim Cook was seen outside of the company’s local Apple retail store in Palo, Alto, California for the big event. He told the crowd he got a new iPhone several months ago.

Shoppers at the Apple retail store in Sydney, Australia were welcomed by Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s senior vice president of retail and online stores. She took to Twitter, noting the “phenomenal start to a historic day.”

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are now available in the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
Both handsets arrive in the following countries beginning on Friday, Sept. 26: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates.
