Today’s apps gone free: Runtastic Mountain Bike, Simplique, Robots Love Ice Cream and more
iPhone:
Simplique is about simplicity. Tap the top portion of the screen to import or take a new photo and use it as the background for your wallpaper. Tap the circle to import or take a new photo and use it as your main subject. The background photo can be blurred to whatever degree you like. You’re able to preview your new lock screen wallpaper before saving it to your library.
Simplique is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 14 ratings.
Werds offers the fastest way to add captions to your photos. Just pick a photo and tap to start typing. You’re able to align your text or move it around freely. To access the 15 different fonts, tap the big Werds icon. To access the 18 different colors, tap the color dropper. Boom. Project complete.
Werds – Add words to pictures is available for free today only (09/28). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 42 ratings.
Runtastic Mountain Bike Pro’s real-time data is second to none. You won’t find a more accurate ride tracking app in the App Store. It’s able to record your trip, duration, distance, altitude, and calories burned. If you’re going for a ride in an area with poor cellular coverage, you can choose to download map data ahead of time for offline viewing. The app even includes weather data, Pebble support, voice detection, and automatic pause detection.
Runtastic Mountain Bike PRO GPS Cycling Computer, Ride and Route Tracker is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 1169 ratings.
Zinkle starts out simple, but ramps up in difficulty rather quickly. The idea is to clear all of the blocks by canceling them out. For example, fire destroys ice and wind destroys earth. Just swipe to slide them in to each other and cancel them out. Try to create big chains to score more points. An undo option is available in case you make a mistake.
Zinkle is available for free today only (09/28). It has a 5-star rating with a total of 5 ratings.
Universal:
We really like Eye to Eye because it’s appealing to the eye. Seriously, the slick animations and crisp black and white graphics will keep you hooked. All you have to do is tap the eye in the middle of the screen to get things started. You’ll then a see a very small, thin image of a famous person’s eyes surrounded by possible options. Tap on the correct one to move on to the next. That’s it! Just enjoy and try to complete all of the levels.
Eye to Eye – Celebrity quiz game! Guess the most famous iconic people and popular celebrities! is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 193 ratings.
The premise of the game is absolutely ridiculous, which is what makes it so awesome. Your single objective is to keep Spinston and his robot buddies from stealing your precious ice cream. To do so, you must utilize various treats to blast them out of the sky Space Invaders-style. Collect the magical Sprinkletonium that drifts down from your fallen foes and use it to upgrade your truck and your weapons. Completing objectives will earn you additional Sprinkletonium.
Robots Love Ice Cream™ is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 229 ratings.
