Your new iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 will love these new cases from Waterfield Designs

October 30, 2014

One of our favorite accessory makers, San Francisco-based Waterfield Designs, recently released two new products for Apple’s 2014 iOS devices. Both the iPhone Spinn Case and Outlook Slip Case are for those folks who want to protect their iOS device when on the go, but rather go “naked” when at home.

Launched in September, the iPhone Spinn Case is available for the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. The all-leather holster is available in black, chocolate, or grizzly, and includes an ultra suede lining. It features a patent-pending wheel to keep earbuds from tangling. The wheel is perfect for urbanites who like to listen to music on the go.

As with all leather products, the iPhone Spinn Case looks better with age.

The iPhone Spinn Case is available with ($69) or without ($59) a belt clip. My advice: spring for the clip.

The new Outback Slip Case for the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 launched in mid-October and is made of waxed canvas and full grain leather accents. A leather strap secures the tablet with an invisible magnet.

The case is available in two sizes. The naked version is $59. For an extra $10, you can purchase an Outlook Slip Case that is big enough to hold your iPad with an Apple Smart Cover attached.

Take a look:

I’ve been using accessories from Waterfield Designs for many years and have never been disappointed. The quality is always extraordinary and I like knowing that each item is made in the United States.

With that being said, the cases mentioned above aren’t for everyone. Neither provides protection when you are actually using your device. And the Spinn Case cannot accommodate an iPhone when a more traditional case is attached.

Nonetheless, if you’re looking for a naked solution, consider the two newest gems from Waterfield Designs. You’ll be happy that you did.
