People are buying the iPhone 6 by a 3-to-1 margin over the iPhone 6 Plus

November 14, 2014

A new sales breakdown from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) (via AppleInsider) says the iPhone 6 outsells the iPhone 6 Plus nearly 3-to-1. The analysis takes into account sales for the new handsets during the first 30 days they were available in the United States.

The iPhone 6 accounted for 68 percent of all iPhone sales, compared to between 23 and 24 percent for the iPhone 6 Plus. These two models account for about 91 percent of total iPhone sales over their first four weeks of availability. In 2013, CIRP found that the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c accounted for 84 percent of total iPhone sales after one month.

Apple doesn’t break down sales figures for specific iPhone models.
