Star Scales Pro For Guitar ($1.99 → Free, 26.9 MB): Learn to play guitar like a star with this music app. It’s ideal for amateur musicians who want to acquire proficiency and confidence when playing guitar.

Learning how to play guitar doesn’t have to be difficult, at least not with Star Scales Pro. The app throws out the idea of using complicated charts and instead has you practicing scale patterns. Each scale features fingering and note names in all positions on the fretboard, making it remarkably easy to master a specific pattern. Since each scale and all its patterns are taught one at a time, you won’t become overwhelmed. The app includes all blues, rock, and jazz guitar scales, zoom, a random scale pattern generator, and the ability to share scales via email or social networks.

Star Scales Pro For Guitar is available for free today only (11/27). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 167 ratings.

TurboScan: quickly scan multipage documents into high-quality PDFs ($2.99 → Free, 1.4 MB): Turn your iPhone into a multipage scanner with TurboScan. It’s ideal for anyone who needs to scan receipts, notes, whiteboards, and other physical documents.

TurboScan makes it easy to get fantastic results thanks to its advanced algorithms. Just point your iDevice’s camera at a document and TurboScan will discover the edges, straighten it, eliminate shadows, and set the perfect contrast. If you have low-light conditions and are in need of sharper scans, give the proprietary SureScan mode a try. It requires you to take three separate pictures of the same document, but the results you get are worth the hassle. TurboScan also offers multipage editing, search, instant one-tap brightness, and loads of sharing and storage options.

TurboScan: quickly scan multipage documents into high-quality PDFs is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 209 ratings.

We really like Yam Yam because gamers of all ages can enjoy it. Your job is to help Yam and Yam fix all the paths so the Lifelings can hide in their huts from the darkness. To do so, you’ll need to control the speed of Yam and Yam as they make their way through the vibrant world and the trajectory of their shots. Keep in mind that only fruit of the same color will allow the flowers to grow. The game includes a wide variety of levels to master, and loads of power-ups to utilize.

Your little builders are going to adore this entertainment app. They’re able to choose from 12 different toys including a dump truck, space ship, submarine, and helicopter. Once the toy is selected, it will be broken up into pieces. Your child must drag and drop the pieces into their proper places in order to put it back together. When you get to team up with Star-Lord and his rag-tag crew of misfit superheroes, you know you’re in for a treat. Take your team across the galaxy and battle through more than 60 levels of real-time combat. You must command your units by dragging a line from each of them to a spot on the battlefield. Depending on the situation, they can simply move to the spot, attack, or heal another crew member. All you have to do is make it through the waves of enemy attacks with at least one unit standing.
