Today’s apps gone free: Quick Drafts, Mooncast, Pocket Scale and more
iPhone:
Health apps are generally daunting, but not Pocket Scale. All you have to do is tap the big circle in the middle of the screen, and then slide your finger across the scale at the bottom to record your weight. The app will then calculate your BMI, total weight lost or gained, and keep a log. You’re also able to set daily reminders so you never forget to record your weight. The app syncs with Apple’s new Health app as well.
Pocket Scale – Quick Weight Tracker is available for free today only (11/04). It has a 5-star rating with a total of 5 ratings.
Quick Drafts isn’t just fast, it’s also extremely useful. Every time you open it you’ll be presented with a blank page, allowing you to generate notes in an instant. But you don’t have to just record simple notes, as you’re able to convert them into to-do lists and events that can be shared or saved to the cloud. The app also includes the ability to create tappable links and landscape orientation support.
Quick Drafts – Notes, Errands and Shopping List is available for free today only (11/04). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 569 ratings.
Cart Cow may seem simple on the surface, but it’s actually quite difficult. Lazy Linda isn’t fond of walking, so instead she rolls around in a shopping cart. You must draw bridges for her to roll across and get by obstacles to reach the end of each level. The only problem is that you’re supplied with a limited amount of pen ink, so you must draw flawless paths. Keep in mind that Lazy Linda doesn’t have to reach the end of each level while in her cart, necessarily; she just has to get there! The game includes 60 puzzling levels.
Cart Cow is available for free today only (11/04). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 9 ratings.
Universal:
Mooncast does only a few things, but it does them all well. You can swipe through each screen to see the moon illumination for that day, or you can jump to a specific day by activating the calendar view and spinning the wheels. Mooncast can remind you when a full moon is approaching, and even display phases of the moon within Notification Center.
Mooncast – The Phases of the Moon is available for free today only (11/04). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 130 ratings.
No matter what it is, Secure Filebox can keep your digital content safe and secure. You’re able to store and organize notes, photos, videos, audio files, location data, and documents. Files can be imported from your computer via Wi-Fi or pulled from your inbox. You’re also able to capture photos, videos, and audio right from within the app, and even scan documents and export them as PDFs.
