Today’s apps gone free: Neato, Fonta, Printability and more
iPhone:
Fonta has a ridiculous amount of text options, allowing you to stand out from the crowd. Before you get to that point, however, you can edit your original photo by cropping, rotating, framing, filtering, and blurring it. Then come up with a message you want to drive home, and place it wherever you like on your photo. You’re able to select from a wide variety of fonts, colors, opacity levels, and even layer your text. There are also loads of frame and artwork options to choose from. Fonta allows you to share your creations via Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Fonta is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 138 ratings.
As its name alludes, this is one neat note taking app. Launch the app to link your Evernote and Dropbox accounts. Then pull down Notification Center and scroll all of the way down to the bottom of the Today tab. Tap the Edit button to add Neato to Notification Center. You’ll then be able to take notes from within Notification Center and send them off to your favorite services.

Universal:
Sometimes the best apps are the simplest, and that’s just the case with Printability. Once installed on your iDevice, launch Mobile Safari and tap on the share button. Then scroll right until you see the “More” button and tap on it. Activate Printability’s extension and you’re ready to go. The next time you need to capture a page, simply tap on the Printability icon within the share menu. Printability will grab the page and allow you to adjust its size and layout before saving it as a PDF.

iPad:
Mina and her best friend Malik are back to take on Lord Strix and his ruthless army. You must look for clues that will help you locate his lair by combing through 63 fantasy scenes. Along the way you’ll come across different creatures that if helped will in turn help you. The game includes three modes, 27 mini-games, and five chapters to enjoy.
Tales from the Dragon Mountain: the Lair HD (Full) is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 9 ratings.
Put those little fingers to work on the farm. Your child will get to harvest veggies to put into the barn, sort through colorful veggies to find the ones the farmer needs, categorize fruits and veggies into bins, and identify the farmer’s animals. The entire time they will be learning and won’t even know it. Your child will be guided along every step of the way, so just hand your iPad off and allow them to enjoy the experience.
Preschool Farm Fun – Teach your child colors, counting, shapes and puzzles using yummy Vegetables! is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 15 ratings.

- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
