Amazon Instant Video receives an update bringing HD and improved settings
As of today, April 30, a great update to the Amazon Instant Video app is available. Users can now enjoy watching videos in HD and also use their mobile data plan. Additional updates were made to improve the settings, so users can now control their mobile data usage and download quality.
To adjust how much of your data plan is used, simply go to Settings and then click Manage Data Usage. Adjustments for the streaming quality are also available within the Settings area. Remember that higher quality streaming can take longer and use more storage.
The Amazon Instant Video app has brought users some terrific features. Amazon Prime members can instantly stream thousands of videos for free with their membership. From movies to TV shows and series, the app has plenty to offer.
You can add items to a handy Watchlist so that your favorites are always at your fingertips. You can also easily browse for something new by genre, channel, or just take a look at the Editor’s Picks.
If you own an Apple TV you can watch shows using AirPlay or connect to your television using HDMI and your Apple Digital AV Adapter.
Amazon Instant Video is available for free on the App Store. Amazon Prime memberships can be purchased directly from Amazon.com at the current price of $99.
