Easily find where to eat, stay, and play with Gogobot
Is it time to start planning your summer vacation or perhaps that perfect spring getaway? You do not have to scour tourist sites to get great information on that destination you have in mind. Gogobot is a terrific app for helping you plan where to eat, stay, and play on your next trip.
To start getting details on the city you plan to visit you can type it into Gogobot’s search box or choose to explore popular destinations around the world. Once you have found your desired city, you can start exploring the three major categories which are Stay, Eat, and Play.
Explore accommodations for your destination
Once you click on Stay you are presented with suggested accommodations in and around your chosen destination. You can see the hotel class, rating, per night rate, and tags for the hotel, motel, or resort. Clicking on one of the locations will provide you more details such as address and phone, and ratings and reviews. What the location is popular for is shown by the use of tags which are simliar to categories. Helpful tags include luxury, trendsetters, nightlife, families, business, and more. If you make a choice to book that location you can do so from within the app which redirects you to a travel-type site such as Expedia.com or Bookings.com.
Find great places to eat
Once you click on Eat you are presented with a list of dining options for your destination. This screen also shows details such as rating, tags, and a price range from one to four dollar signs. Selecting one of the eateries will provide details as with the accommodations for address and phone, ratings and reviews, and what the eatery is popular for with the tag display. Helpful tags include families, budget, history, luxury, and others.
Line up your activities
Once you click on Play you are presented with suggested activities in and near your destination with a rating for each. After choosing one you will again be shown address and phone with ratings and reviews. Helpful tags include outdoor, adventure, business, students, and more.
Notable features
Each selection from Stay, Eat, and Play provides a bookmark option so that you can keep track of those that interest you, an option to share to your favorite locations, and photo sharing capability.
Gogobot filters are available for narrowing down your options which is really great if you are looking for something in particular. You can filter by category such as family or business or by type such as popular or highest rated. You can also filter by tag or Tribe as it is called in the app or by those locations with a certain number of stars from user ratings.
The main page for each destination shows the current weather and what is presently happening in the area. Information about the region is available if you are still undecided on your destination. There is a brief description of the city, photos, nearby airports, and even the best time to visit. Additional reviews about the overall destination are also included in the Region section.
