April 23, 2015

If you enjoy reading quotations and sharing those you love with others, then Quotes Folder from Nestor Borgo is the perfect tool for you. The Quotes Folder interface is very clean and easy to use with over 100,000 quotations from thousands of authors to choose from.

You can browse through quotes randomly by simply swiping, double-tapping, or clicking the dice button. You can also select a specific author or category. Using the category search is really handy if you are looking for a certain topic such as love, art, faith, humor, patience, or one of the many others. You can also search by keyword which narrows down your results even further.

Once you find a quote you like, you can save it to your favorites or share it to one of your saved locations such as email, Facebook, Twitter, or Evernote. You can also use folders and tags for quotes you have added to your favorites which is a nice feature to keep things organized.

Additional information regarding the author can be accessed quickly on the quote screen by clicking the information button. You will then see a Wikipedia page with author details while remaining in the app.

If you would like to add a quote of your own or one you did not find in the extensive list, that feature is available. Just type the quote, add the author, insert a link, and then pick a folder and tags to make it easier to find later. Each of these detail fields are optional and can also be edited later.

There are a variety of settings with Quotes Folder for you to customize your experience:

  • Archives for searching are available for English, Italian, Spanish, French, and Dutch quotes and authors.
  • Different color themes make viewing the app more personalized.
  • Quote of the Day can be turned on to send you a notification with a new quote daily. You can also choose the archive.
  • Text size can be changed for easier viewing.
  • You can share as an image, add a date to the tag, or turn on iCloud sync.
  • Import and export features let you pull in or send out all of your created quotes or your favorites.

You will see quotes from authors dating back to philosophers such as Socrates all the way through current times with musicians such as Bono. No matter which type of quote you are looking for, Quotes Folder is sure to have something for you.
