Sports photography app Winz will soon be at version 2.0, and will feature a companion app for Apple Watch. Winz is currently available for free on the App Store for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
What’s truly unique about Winz is that it combines photography with live sports scores. Before this app, data-rich sports imagery was the domain of the professional media and sports channels. With Winz, though, the everyday fan can make their own data-rich photographs, capturing and sharing those amazing sports moments with their friends and family.
Winz streams live scores for more than 1,300 teams, including MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL, NCAA, and UEFA. Whether you’re at the stadium watching the game live or viewing the game from a sports bar or your home TV, you can snap a picture with the app and include the real-time score and game status. The app can share these photos through social networks, email, or SMS.
In version 2.0, Winz will come with an Apple Watch extension. The app uses a predictive algorithm to show the games you are most likely to be interested in, and you can easily browse and view other games in all the leagues covered by Winz. The update will also see a redesign of many of the existing sports-themed skins that come with the app, including the game status in addition to the live score.
Winz is currently free on the App Store, and the update with its Apple Watch extension is expected to be available before the wearables begin arriving on April 24.
