Making sure your skin stays healthy can be a full-time job, but how do you scan those hard-to-see parts of your body like the back of your neck? You could take pictures of those areas with your iPhone, but getting the right focus is a game of hit and miss. Using ModiFace’s updated Skin app with Apple Watch support, it just got easier to monitor the health of your skin even in those hard-to-reach places.

Skin is a unique application that allows you to evaluate the overall dryness of your skin. You scan a patch of your body and answer a few questions, and then the app goes to work providing you with an overall skin health/dryness score. You can save the scan and information and then compare it later, to see how your skin dryness has progressed over time.

Skin works by giving you a live preview on your Apple Watch of the part of your body you are scanning with your iPhone. This way, you can make sure that you’re pointing your camera at the right part of your body. Dr. Parham Aarabi, founder and CEO of ModiFace, says, “In time, we can use this data to better provide skin-care recommendations by analyzing the impact of parameters such as weather and location on overall skin health.”

Skin is available for free on the App Store, and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch.
