Being square is the name of the game in Triangulae
Ricardo Fonseca first came up with the idea of developing a geometric puzzle game as a birthday present for his wife. He liked the idea of surprising her with a brand new game that would be the theme of her birthday. Five days before the big event, Fonseca finally came up with the basic idea for Triangulae, and managed to finish the prototype of the game just in time. Luckily for us, Fonseca didn’t stop there, and has developed Triangulae into a full-fledged game that is now available for everyone to download.
Triangulae is a geometric puzzle game that challenges you to slide triangles together to form squares. If that sounds too simple, trust me that it isn’t. The game board presents triangles pointing in four different directions, and you have to find just the right combination to create your square.
The game includes three different modes. In Classic, you form and eliminate squares while getting power ups that help you advance in levels. In Time mode, you have to score the most points possible in just 60 seconds. Finally, Persistence mode challenges you to keep making squares out of your triangles, but the squares remain on the board.
Triangulae is fun and challenging, and the musical background fits the mood of the game perfectly. To see the game in action, check out the video below. If you can’t see the video, click here to watch it on YouTube.
Triangulae is available for $1.99 on the App Store. The game requires iOS 7.1 or later, and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
