Buy and sell locally with the updated Close5 app
Close5 is an app that lets you buy and sell items locally like the classified section of a newspaper, only better. The app received a recent update that brings improved messaging and commenting, a new camera feature, and a redesigned Help Center.
If you are interested in selling an item, you can quickly and easily create a listing for it. Descriptions are not required, so you can sell your items with just a title and photograph. You can also buy items from local sellers by browsing the many categories and listings. The app brings together buyers and sellers within a five mile radius. You can place and receive offers on items and all messaging is handled through the app.
Close5 lets you sign up using your Facebook account. This integration also means that buyers and sellers are verified through that social channel. You can view their profiles to see who you may be doing business with, for an added sense of confidence.
A recent update to the app provides users an improved messaging and commenting flow using timestamps and badges. The camera feature has been updated to support landscape mode and the Help Center has been redesigned for easier use.
Close5 currently services San Francisco, the Bay Area, and San Diego as well as Las Vegas. It is available for free on the App Store with no in-app purchases.
