Get money and avoid haters in 4 Lanes
App developer That Level, USA has combined the fast-paced car game genre with a hip hop twist in a simple racer. Released recently on the App Store, 4 Lanes was co-produced by legendary music icon Jermaine Dupri.
The game controls are simple, requiring you to tap on the lane you want to switch to. The challenge, though, is that you have to control two cars at the same time, collecting money and avoiding the haters, like police cruisers and stop signs. The game is a remake of the popular app 2 Carz.
That Level, USA is based in Charleston, South Carolina, and bills itself as “a new development company focusing on music, games, and generally badass products.” That Level’s first release on the App Store, 4 Lanes provides Game Center integration so you can compare your skill with that of your friends.
The background music has a quick hip hop beat and feel, and fits perfectly with the fast pace of the game. The graphics are simple and cute, but the game does not provide players with instructions or a tutorial. You have to figure out for yourself that missing money ends your game, as does running into one of the haters in the app.
The 4 Lanes game is available as a free download on the App Store, and does not include in-app purchases or ads. The app requires iOS 7.0 or later, and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
