Packing Pro gets into the cloud in a new update

Popular iOS travel app Packing Pro has recently been updated, bringing some long-needed features to allow sharing lists via the cloud. Packing Pro has been highlighted several times on the App Store, including the current “Travel Survival Kit” and “Overseas Travel” promotions. The app features unlimited packing lists that can be completely customized, along with an extensive catalog of sample lists that can be used as templates.

With its latest update, Packing Pro allows you to share your lists to the cloud using Dropbox, Box, AirDrop, and iCloud Drive. This means you can access your packing lists on other devices, or even share them with other travelers in your group. This can be a particularly useful feature when you’re traveling with others, since they can check off the items they pack in their own luggage or backpack.

Packing Pro has also received several enhancements to the lists. First of all, there is now an option to display item images directly on the list, so you can have a visual reference of what you need to pack. You can also set individual items’ priority and mark an item that you need to purchase with its own flag.

List totals in Packing Pro now show both the broken-down value and weight subtotals for each person, bag, and category for the entire list. You can also quickly and easily see the weight subtotals for the items you’ve already packed. This is terrific for helping weight-conscious backpackers and travelers hoping to avoid excess baggage fees.

Packing Pro is available for $2.99 on the App Store, with in-app purchases for extra lists and themes. The app requires iOS 6.0 or later, and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The cloud sharing feature requires iOS 8.0 or later.
