Today’s apps gone free: iComics, Hook, Be Mindful and more
iPhone:
Grab a nice set of headphones, sit back, hit play, and let Be Mindful guide you on a meditative journey. You’ll hear some soothing background music play to help get you in the right state of mind. You’ll then hear a female or male narrator take you on your journey. The session lasts about 30 minutes, and you can loop it over and over if you need more time. After a session you can record notes on the built-in calendar.

When viewing a comic, you’re able to zoom in, swipe to flip the page, or slide your finger across the bottom of the screen to jump ahead. You can also mark your progress for each comic as unread, in progress, or read. The app supports all major comic formats including ZIP, CBZ, EPUB, RAR, CBR, and PDF.
