One of the best ways to make sure you keep on top of your fitness regimen is by making a game out of it. There are countless ways to do that, but the developers at Noodum Co. Ltd. have taken the idea one step further with Wokamon, which was recently updated on the App Store with new features and capabilities.
Wokamon lets you adopt your own virtual pet monsters to help with weight loss and fitness. Every step you walk or run turns into experience points, which you use to take care of your pet monsters and level them up. The app also allows you to explore different world sets, acquiring accessories for your Wokamons.
In the latest update, Wokamon has gained integration with Apple’s HealthKit. The app can also sync with various fitness wearable devices, like Fitbit, Jawbone’s Up, and Moves. A new upgrade system for worlds allows those locales to evolve into more advanced settings every 10 levels. Wokamon has also added Japan as an unlockable world, giving you an Asian locale to explore with your pet monster. The game/fitness tracking app’s update also brings a new currency, Topazes, which are rare stones that you can exchange for more crystals. New treasure chest rewards have also been added, allowing you to collect prizes either in the game or outside it.
Wokamon is free to download from the App Store, with in-app purchases to buy boosters, crystals, and topaz bundles.
