Spotted on the back of the Lego City Square set released this month, we may be looking at a leak of the new Lego version of Minecraft.
The “Explore. Discover. Create.” on the back of the box, along with the images displayed, is certainly making people wonder. On the top right you can see the Web address: Lego.com/worlds. This unfortunately does not show you anything you would hope, except a “page not found” error. (You are going to try it now too, aren’t you?)
The advertisement on the back of the Lego City Square box, set 60097, was found and called out by Mikaelsol on the Lego fan Eurobricks forum earlier this week. The news is not only making its way around the Web, but around the world as well. From Wired.co.uk in the United Kingdom to HothBricks.com in France, speculation is everywhere.
The original full version of Minecraft was released in 2011, after the beta was publicly released two years prior. The game has players constructing using blocks and participating in resource gathering, combat, discovery, and basic survival.
So, what are your thoughts? Does this Lego slogan we see “Explore. Discover. Create.” equate to the “Build, Play, Explore” from Minecraft?
