Do you ‘Wantoo’ go for a burger or some pizza?
Wantoo is an interesting new app for finding what you want nearby. There is no setup required like with other local business finding apps. With Wantoo, you just open and go.
After enabling your location services, the app loads “I wantoo” at the top. Below it are actions and object-like items. You just tap or swipe to move between the choices for your selection. Here are some examples:
“I wantoo – drink – a glass of wine.”
“I wantoo – party – like a rock star.”
“I wantoo – spend money – on that new gadget.”
In each of these examples, just tap or swipe the actions “drink,” “party,” and “spend money.” Then do the same with the object-like items “a glass of wine,” “like a rock star,” and “on that new gadget.” Once you have your little formula in place, the app will display a list of places nearby where you can accomplish your goal.
You can select from your results to obtain further details about the business such as address, phone number, and its location on a zoom-able map. You can also easily call the business by clicking on their phone number.
The app is in its early stages with anticipated future updates to include distance from current location, driving directions, and an increased number of results. But, the app already shows some great potential.
Wantoo is available for $0.99 on the App Store with no ads or in-app purchases.
