Throw around the virtual pigskin with Joe Montana Football
Superstar Studios has recognized that mobile games are rivaling PC and console entertainment. Darren Grow, of Superstar Studios, told Epic Games, “Most times, people thought of mobile games as just an afterthought.” At the same time, though, Superstar Studios took note of the fact that “Infinity Blade, you know, broke all records, broke everything, and we wanted to be that moment for sports.” With this in mind, Joe Montana Football will be coming to iOS before any other platform. If the game does well, the developers will roll it out for Android and then PC.
The game is made using Metal with the Unreal Engine 4, and the footage of the game shows just what Metal is capable of. It’s beautiful footage, as you can see in the video of the interview below. If you can’t see the video, just click this link.
Joe Montana Football stars the NFL Hall of Fame quarterback, and the game has been in the works and teased on social media for a few months. It was quite a surprise to see the title announced as being an iOS game, but maybe it shouldn’t have been. Mobile gaming is becoming increasingly popular, especially since the capabilities of the devices have been advancing so dramatically.
Joe Montana Football is currently running an alpha program, which you can sign up for from the game’s Web page. No release date has been announced yet, but you can sign up for more updates and we will be sure to cover the release of the game.
