Today’s apps gone free: Dwelp, Widget Calendar, Cribbage HD and more
Universal:
Widget Calendar does one thing and it does it very well. It’s able to grab all of the events from your calendar and neatly display within the Today view. Just make sure to add the widget by scrolling to the very bottom of the Today view and tapping on the Edit button. The calendar is completely interactive, allowing you to tap on days to reveal more information. You’re also able to open your calendar with a tap.
Widget Calendar is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 9 ratings.
Dwelp is familiar yet unique. The idea is to link same-colored dots in as few moves as possible by placing them next to each other. The catch, however, is that once two dots have been linked up, the rest of the same color will become locked in place. Each puzzle has more than one solution, but your ultimate goal is to find the one with the least amount of moves. You’re able to undo moves at any time. The game includes a total of 120 hand-crafted puzzles.
Dwelp is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 4653 ratings.
New to Cribbage? No problem. Cribbage HD helps you every single step of the way. You’re able to use hints to develop your skills and learn new strategies. If you’re unsure how a hand is scored, simply tap the “Explain” button for a breakdown. When you’ve mastered the basics you can take your skills online, compete locally against a friend, or challenge the AI. The game also includes voice chat, and the ability to personalize the cards.
Cribbage HD is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 7 ratings.
Lumin is able to magnify your iDevice’s camera view up to 10 times in order to view small text or objects. What makes Lumin stand out from the rest is the ability to pan around your camera view and lock the image in place. While pointing your camera at whatever it is you need to see, simply swipe to look around in the magnified view. Tap the lock button to hold the image in place and take a closer look. Locked images aren’t save to your photo library; they’re simply stored within the app. Locked images can be shared via your favorite social networks.
Lumin is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 78 ratings.
With MolaSync your canvases, like your ideas, are infinite. Just put your finger to the screen and start working. You’re able to draw, scribble, and write freely on the canvas, and move around and zoom in using common gestures. You’re also able to insert pre-designed graphics, import photos, record audio, and attach location information. Whatever you do offline will be synced with your team automatically the moment you reconnect. Everything you create can be managed and shared via email or iTunes File Sharing, or you can upload it to Dropbox, Google Drive, or SkyDrive.
