AppleCharmers Apple Watch bands add some feminine appeal
AppleCharmers is a new Etsy store aimed at making the Apple Watch more feminine and beautiful. They’ve added decorative charms to the Apple Watch, bringing some bling to the wearable.

Overview:
The Etsy seller was kind enough to send me one of their brand new AppleCharmers bands for review. I received a navy blue leather band with two “Karen” charms, sparkly flowers with a faux pearl center, on either side. It’s a shade of navy I particularly adore; I’d call it a slightly purpled navy. The leather is of medium thickness, very pliable, and quite comfortable. The genuine leather band feels like nice quality. The band is designed to look like Apple’s Classic Buckle, even down to the buckle itself. The adapters blend perfectly with my stainless steel watch and slide on and off the watch easily for a nice fit. One of the adapters has a tiny bit of wiggle room, but it’s not in danger of falling out.
Charms are attached with clear, stretchy cord
The charms are attached to the band with a thin, strong, stretchy cord. You could certainly slide the charms off and put them on other bands in your collection. Since my wrists are on the small side, I slid the band’s excess “tail” underneath one of the charms. You should be aware that the stretchy cord holding the charms in place is clear, but of course it’s not invisible. As you might expect, the charms do add a little bit of bulk and weight to the watch. This is a hand-crafted item, so it doesn’t look like something factory-made.
A charming touch
AppleCharmers offers quite a few variations for sale. You can start with a leather band in your choice of four different colors. Or, start with a Milanese-style metal band, although it has a clasp closure rather than a magnetic loop. Then choose your decorative charm set, which is anywhere from one to three charms on either side of the band, depending on the size of the charms. Alternatively, you can purchase the charm sets without any band. AppleCharmers plans to offer a charging stand soon, which can be purchased alone or bundled with your band. Plans also include bands with adapters in other Apple Watch colors besides the stainless steel.
Bottom Line:
AppleCharmers add a fun, feminine touch to your Apple Watch. Apple’s offerings tend towards the masculine, or gender-neutral. I certainly enjoy wearing sparkly, feminine things, and this band suits my tastes. AppleCharmers bands do not necessarily fit Apple’s ultra clean-lined aesthetic, but they offer homemade appeal and a unique look for your watch.
